微软亚洲研究院“明日之星”实习生项目
Microsoft Research Asia is recruiting interns for Stars of Tomorrow Internship Program.
微软亚洲研究院是微软公司在美国本土之外最大的基础科研机构，被美国著名技术杂志MIT 《Technology Review》誉为“世界上最火的计算机实验室”。 自1998年成立以来，启动了面向亚太区高校博士生、硕士生和优秀本科生的“明日之星”实习生项目。该项目由微软亚洲研究院和国内外高校共同执行，旨在培养高素质的计算机基础研究人才。实习生进入微软亚洲研究院后深入到每个研究小组进行为期三个月或更长时间的实习。截止至2011年9月，已有4000名来自亚太区高校的学生到微软亚洲研究院实习，平均每年有400个实习机会开放给所有的学生。

公共关系组
Position: Full-time Intern
Group: Public Relations Group
Quantity: 1
Work Location: Beijing
Roles & Responsibilities
The Public Relations Group of Microsoft Research Asia is recruiting a full-time intern, who will be responsible for:
1. Content creation for websites, blog and PR events;
2. Support daily marketing and PR efforts of the team;
3. Coordinate the marketing projects and collateral production;
4. Manage official blog and monitor the online comments.
Required Qualifications:
1. A student majored in journalism, communication, marketing, or language is desired;
2. Strong communication, skill, esp. the writing skills;
3. Self-motivated and high attention to details;
4. Familiarity with blogs, micro-blog and other social media;
5. Excellent oral and written English skills;
6. Availability as a full time intern of at least 3 months. A supervisor’s approval will be required.
创新工程中心
Position: Full-time Intern
Group: Innovation Engineering Group
Quantity: 1
Work Location: Beijing
Group Overview
The Innovation Engineering Group is a new incubation group based in Microsoft Research Asia. Here teams are small, the environment is unstructured, and the work is fast-paced. Here our focus is to turn ideas into reality.
Roles & Responsibilities
We are recruiting interns to work on an innovative and challenging engineering project. The duties will cover software design and development.
Required Qualifications:
1. MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or any related technical field and possess the following skills;
2. Good at c#;
3. Familiar with design pattern or C++ or database is good plus;
4. 1-2 years project experience is good plus;
5. Passion on new technology;
6. Fast learning;
7. Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.
8. Can commit at least 3 months internship, can get your advisor’s approval.
人机交互组

Group: MSRA Human-Computer Interaction Group

Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for Hardware and Software students who are:
1. Exceptionally clever - Able to define new and interesting problem spaces as well as to distill them and propose simple, elegant solutions. Passionate and talented - Proven ability to drive an independent research agenda, and inspire/lead the broader team with your expertise.
2. Self-motivated - Anxious to design, build, and explore solutions on aggressive timelines. We are looking for scientists, designers, makers, doers, creators!
3. Willing to take risks and be different - Smart enough to know there's really no right answers (or problems) in research, and that good solutions often come from many failures. Willingness to work outside your comfort zone and learn from others. Constantly aware of the potential for improvement. Keen desire to build technology that plays a more meaningful role in people's lives.
4. Able to play well with others: Comfortable in collaborative work environments. Willing and able to work with multiple collaborators to integrate various technologies and build out impactful user experiences. Good English communication skills. Humble enough to actively solicit and incorporate feedback.
Required Qualifications:
1. For Computer Scientists and related engineering and social science disciplines, we favor current PhD students, but will also consider strong Masters degree candidates.
2. Looking specifically for expertise in the following research areas (but always open to consider others): Human-Computer Interaction in general, mobile computing, hardware, haptics, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, etc.
3. For Designers, looking for independent undergraduate or Masters students with strong background and portfolio.
4. Reasonably proficient in English, bonus if proficient in Mandarin too.
