The South China Morning Post (SCMP) in Hong Kong is calling for interns for 2012. Successful applicants will receive invaluable working as reporters in the newsroom, helping cover one of the biggest stories around: China’s development and emergence on the world stage. The internship will cover 12 weeks between June and August 2012. Interns from overseas universities will be paid HK$8,000 a month; flights to and from Hong Kong will also be paid.
SCMP are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in Hong Kong and China. They accept applications from undergraduate and graduate programmes; some working experience in journalism is preferred. Interested students should send a cover letter explaining why they want to be an intern with SCMP, a full CV and a maximum of three published writing samples by e-mail or by post.
