Merchandising   Assistant

Job Summary:

The Merchandise Assistant is in charge of vendor set up and acts as a key executor of tasks and processes to facilitate the operations of the merchant team in establishing new vendors and tracking shipment and customs information related to vendor shipments.  The Assistant supports the Merchant team in data entry functions such as vendor banking information, logistics contacts, invoicing guidelines, payment entry forms, and other general administrative tasks.  


Responsibilities:

•        Provide data entry and general administrative support for the merchant team.
•        Compare vendor packing list versus purchase order to verify shipment
•        Prepare necessary finance payment forms after shipment
•        Collect all vendor information related to establishing a new vendor and enter into system
•        Work closely with logistics import team and on shipment information and communicate with merchant team


Key Skills:

•        Native Chinese speaker, but with excellent written and verbal English language abilities.
•        Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to quickly learn GS systems such as SAP and Magento.
•        Task oriented and highly organized.  Able to work independently to meet deadlines.
•        Adaptable to change and uncertainty with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.


Education and Experience:

•        Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
•        No experience required.
