IBM DemandTec is a strategic piece of IBM Smarter Commerce offerings with its established leader position in providing cloud-based price, promotion and assortment solutions for the retail and consumer packaged goods industries. DemandTec products and solutions extend IBM’s Smarter Commerce initiative by adding price, promotion and other merchandising and marketing analytics to help companies adjust strategies based on customer buying trends.
We are looking for an intern for DemandTec Promotion Execution product development and testing. The qualified candidate will not only be able to gain valuable internship experience which is elaborately designed spanning 9 to 12 months, but also will definitely stand a better chance in campus hiring later.
The job responsibilities of the intern include:
Early phase (Month 1-3):
- Execute test activities for SaaS-based Enterprise Marketing Management application
Intermediate phase (Month 4-6):
- Write scripts to manipulate database data to facilitate development and testing
Later phase (Month 7-9/12):
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the product quality
Skill Requirement
- BS, prefer MS candidate in CS or equivalent who will graduate in 2015
- Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language: Java, C, C++
- Knowledge and experience in SQL
- Basic knowledge in scripting technologies: Perl/Shell/Ruby/PowerShell
- Black-box and white-box testing in enterprise application space, preferably in a SaaS environment - Out-of-the-box thinking in testing and the ability to think as the consumer of the application
- Understanding and experience of functional, system, integration, regression, automation and performance testing of applications and application suites
Candidate needs to guarantee at least 3 days per week available working time.
