Storage Software Engineer CG – 2017
Job Description
In this position, you will join Intel Network Platforms Group Software Team at China as a storage software developer. You will work on Intel Intelligent Storage Acceleration Library (Intel ISA-L) and Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) development/validation and storage solution optimization. You will also be expected to help resolve customers technical questions, participates in customers visits, and presentations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with IA knowledge, strong problem solving/debug skills and excellent customer communications skills to work with major Communications/Cloud Service Provider customers.
Qualifications
Basic requirements: - Computer science or equivalent background students with master degree. - Good understanding of Linux/FreeBSD like system and Internals. - Good understanding of C/C++ programming skills. - Be comfortable interfacing with customers and the ability to work with customers and to assist them to resolve technical issues. - Good problem solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and innovate. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English) and the ability to work as part of a multisite team. - Ability to work and deliver under tight schedules Added Advantage: - Overall understanding of Intel architecture-based servers or storage systems with knowledge of one or more of the following: microprocessor architecture, Enterprise storage, Cloud Storage and/or Software Defined Storage. - Performance tuning and workload optimization, Linux profiling tools. - Good understanding of distributed storage, like Ceph/Swift/HDFS - Good understanding of OpenStack
