Position: PCE（pre-check engineer）
GENERAL SUMMARY
This role involves acting as part of a dynamic, cutting edge global technical Remote Management team, with workgroups engaged in Customer Upgrades, developing global processes and Project Management. The group RCM (Remote Change Management) play a crucial part in EMC’s global remote initiative and the candidate will gain experience in working in a fast paced, challenging environment. The position gives a real and direct insight into the operation of a truly global remote organization and into the qualities required to succeed in a career in any technology sector and data protection.
This position will focus specifically on scheduling upgrade/change activities with EMC’s customers while performing some basic technical review of the system before passing it over to an engineer. Strong customer relationship skills and planning skills are a must.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Learn and know all processes and procedures associated with role
· Contact a range of EMC’s most prestigious customers who include members of NY Stock Exchange, top financial institutions and members of the FTSE 100
· Interact and build professional relationships with these customers all the while selling the benefits of our department
· Schedule maintenance upgrade work windows with these customers for EMC’s remote upgrade team to perform
· Perform pre-upgrade work, health check and system check on a range of EMC’s products prior to the scheduled upgrade
· Proactive and follow up communication to customers
· Act as a single point of contact for a range projects and processes associated with the role
· Work with data collection to justify role and future development of the role within EMC
· Build on existing process with improvements that you have seen
