Jr. Technical Support Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical support to SonicWALL products with major focus on UTM firewall and SSL VPN (Aventail and SMB) appliances.
• Phone and email support to technical questions from end-users. Remote troubleshooting for configuration problems
• Troubleshooting to identify firmware limitations and provide workarounds, if any. Identify firmware bugs, gather information for R&D to rectify the problems.
• Write technical documents for production features
• Work closely with sales and sales engineers to provide POC and evaluation support to end users
• Maintain a support case history. Follow-up till case close
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS or MS, in CS, EE or related field
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong background of supporting internet security products involving technologies like UTM firewalls, IPSec VPN, SSL-VPN, PKI, anti-virus, user authentication, and network management
• Industry certification like Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet are highly regarded
• Previous post-sales support experience preferred
• Fluent in English
IPS Research Engineer
A qualified researcher needs to understand most of the network and software security issues and their mechanisms. Broad knowledge in networking protocols, operating systems, development languages, databases will be used. A junior position, however, allows the candidates to improve these skills during the work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop new signatures of application and attack for UTM firewall
Write design and test documents.
Work with the QA team to resolve software bugs.
Support other teams to resolve customer issues
REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree in engineering
Network infrastructure and protocols such as TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, POP and so on
Script Programming languages such as Perl or Python, or PHP
Database skills such as MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres is a plus
Understanding Network Vulnerabilities such as Buffer Overflow, SQL Injection is a plus
Good communication skill in English
