Junior Firmware Engineer (固件工程师)
Description:
As a junior NAND Firmware Engineer in Micron’s Shanghai Memory System Development group, you will work with the Memory System design team in U.S. to design and develop industry leading controller firmware for NAND-based mass storage products. In this position, you will assist in evaluating, designing, and building firmware that will optimize performance, endurance and reliability for target markets. You can expect to work closely with fellow U.S. firmware engineers and system hardware design engineers, product engineers, and Flash memory design engineers to solve cross-functional design issues.
Your responsibilities will include developing structured and commented source code, and testing solutions. Additionally, you will verify design using a variety of verification methods, including simulation, code prototyping, and product testing. Your focus will also be on firmware quality in the system and the target application. As needed, you will assist in developing new test tools and methods. Using analysis equipment or software, you will effectively investigate and pinpoint firmware and hardware functional or performance issues in test environments or target host systems.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates for this position will have:
• At least one year or equivalent experience in embedded firmware development.
• Proficiency in firmware design using assembly and C programming.
• Proficiency in debugging in an embedded firmware application.
• Proficiency in using ARM development tools and IDE such as Eclipse, and Realview.
• Experience in test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic/bus analyzers are optional, but desired.
• Skill in problem recreation and trapping.
• Skill in identifying performance critical algorithms for optimization.
• The ability to find creative solutions to difficult problems.
• Working knowledge of digital hardware design is optional, but highly desired.
• Knowledge of mass storage systems (hard disk), Flash memory, and device drivers (preferred).
• Knowledge of mass storage interfaces such as ATA, SATA, and/or SAS/FC (preferred).
• High level of self-motivation, and dedication.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team.
• Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment.
Education:
BS or MS in Electrical / Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required
