Position title: Application Developer of the SAP Solution Manager
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As the market leader of ERP software, SAP has proven Service
& Support processes in place to deliver high quality user
support, safeguarding projects and operations and to act as
trusted advisor in the large account segment, which is second
to none in the industry. SAP Active Global Support provides a
complete portfolio of maintenance offerings and a
comprehensive range of services that enable customers to
continually improve core business processes while leveraging
their existing solutions. All services are provided through an
efficient network that offers online access to our knowledge
databases, best practices, and sophisticated tools such as the
SAP Solution Manager.
The SAP Solution Manager is service and support platform,
which is designed to assist customers to implementing and
operating their IT solutions efficiently - with functionality
covers all key aspects of solution deployment, operation,
monitoring and continuous improvement. It combines tools,
content, services and direct access to SAP to increase the
reliability of IT solutions and lower the cost of ownership. To
meet the objectives of the SAP service and support strategy, it
needs to be seamlessly integrated into the backend with
flexible integration of root cause analysis components as well
as customer driven functionality.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Application developer translates customer requirements into concise
and robust programming code in accordance with the agreed
specifications. Your responsibility is covering all stages of software
development cycle, which involves writing specifications, designing,
implementing, testing, document and trouble shooting with the
computer languages ABAP or Java.
As a part of SAP Solution Manager global development team, you
will work with colleagues in China and Germany on the Solution
Manager Extension projects with following activities:
- Establishing program specification through requirements definition
and consolidation
- Design and Implementation of agreed customer requested
extensions in SAP Solution Manager
- Conducting testing to ensure the program can be used easily,
quickly and accurately
- Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program
- Maintenance and development support for the implemented
service and support related
WORK EXPERIENCE
Graduate or 1-3 year work experience
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master degree in software engineer, computer science, or
comparable education with work experience in application
development
- Having passion for programming work
- Being proficient in at least one OO programming language:
JAVA, .NET or C++
- Experience in OO design and practice
- Knowledge in database and SQL
- Know-how in SAP Solution Manager and programming
language ABAP is a plus
- Good communication skills required
- Enjoy working in an international team as well as
independently
- Enjoy working with customers
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
