The Climate Environment Service Group (CESG)- Shanghai is a wholly owned foreign enterprise in Shanghai working to promote sustainable transport in China through a data driven approach. CESG is working to consolidate data and knowledge on urban transport and sustainability to understand the role that sustainable transport can play in cities of all sizes in China. CESG also acts as the Secretariat to the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) that works with over 80 international organizations, companies and research institutions to promote sustainable transport around the globe.

CESG is now looking for an experienced database manager who has a firm understanding of developing and managing MySQL databases. In addition to the further development and management of the database the Database Manager will also play an important role in creating the user interface for the database.

Database Manager Job Description:
Contribute to the continued development of MySQL based database.
Take a lead role in the management of the database and server.
Design user interface for staff and outside personal to interact with the database
Contribute towards the analysis of transport data contained in the database

CESG Requirements for Data Base/Website Manager
Native Chinese speaker, with good English communication skills.
Relevant Degree (Bachelor or Masters)
Preferred work experience of 2-5 years in a related position
Knowledge of MySQL and PHP
Knowledge of GIS systems and technology is an advantage
