Job Title: Silicon Validation/Application Engineer
Location: Shanghai
Qualifications:
M.S.E.E + 2 years experience. Experience working in an IC testing environment with equipment such as Oscilloscopes and AWG's is desired but not required. Proficiency with Matlab or Python is desired but not required. Direct experience with Read Channels and hard disk drives is desired, but not required.
Department profile: Silicon Validation Engineering group for Read Channels is responsible for validating all read channel devices designed by Marvell. The activities also include performance measurement and automation of the tools used for validating the read channel. The group is also responsible for the hardware and software design of all tools required for the above two activities.
Responsibility:
- Design and execute system level tests for complex mixed signal ICs using standard test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
- Work with designers to debug, understand and document new designs.
- Provide technical documentation, descriptions and information to Field Application Engineers, Test Engineers and customers.
- Write and maintain software used to automate bench testing. This is done in the MATLAB environment for now; may move to other tools in future.
- Generate professional validation reports and comparative performance analysis of the read channel devices.
- Work with DSP and design teams to find the best optimization procedures for Marvell read channel products.
- Make sure we can showcase the best read channel performance on customer drives.
