DIVISION DESCRIPTION
Institutional Equity Division China Corporate Access (China Corporate Access)
is a global group that performs an intermediary role between companies, their shareholders and target investors. The key objective of the group is to facilitate institutional investor access to senior management of the region's most important companies, experts and regulators through external relationship building and by using the Morgan Stanley internal network (including but not limited to Equity Research, Investment Banking Division (IBD), Private Wealth Management (PWM), Global Capital Markets (GCM), Institutional Equity Division (IED) relationships
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role in Shanghai is specifically focused on providing investor clients with access to company management, experts and regulators through various forms of delivering corporate access: Investor Summit, Conference, Corporate Day, Thematic Research Trips, Tailor Made research trips, Non-Deal Road Show, Conference Calls.
- Build corporate relationship in China/HK corporate universe with company senior management and investor relations function and leverage those relationship to deliver corporate access to investors.
- Corporate universe defined as publicly listed companies, private companies, government regulators, think tanks, third party experts in certain domain area that are important for investor research
- Content origination for corporate access products (Summit, Conference, Corporate Day, Thematic Research Trips, Tailor Made research trips, Non-Deal Road Show, Conference Calls.)
- Execution (Supervise and execute client schedule both content and logistics, escort clients on research trips where needed)
- Collate investor feedback and monetization (directly or indirectly through sales) post fieldtrip.
- Other day-to-day duties which are integral to the corporate access products including but not limited to preparing investor meeting packs ahead of client fieldtrip, build and maintain corporate relationship, scheduling for conferences, works as staff and part of execution team for investor summit, conference, corporate days and group trips, post-event logistics (ereq, internal reporting)
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Finance, economics, accounting, management, International Relations, English language background preferred though not a MUST
- Senior year undergraduate students in 2017 or 2018. (Senior year undergraduate student directly admitted into post graduate program preferred)
- First Year postgraduate student in 2017.
-- Strong sense of self initiative and self-motivation, hard working.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking
- Fluent in English and Mandarin both spoken and written
Outgoing and a confident communicator, with excellent sales and marketing skills and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the equity market / investor relations
- Good computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint and Word

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role in Shanghai is providing logistics support to all China and HK corporate access products including Investor Summit, Conference, Corporate Day, Thematic Research Trips, Tailor Made research trips, Non-Deal Road Show, Conference Calls. Including but not limited to: conference scheduling (corporate and investor), logistics support to all corporate access events including event design, hotel and vendor sourcing, contracting, travel and accommodation booking, meal and restaurant booking, China vis application facilitation, air ticket booking, car booking and other travel related logistics, post event logistics (internal reporting, ereq, billing, etc)
- Assist producers in building corporate relationship with company senior management and IR of companies, private companies, experts, regulators in corporate access events.
