Position Profile
The Project Specialist is a position within the Tyco Flow Control Asia MIS organization reporting to the IT PMO Manager. The Project Specialist is an entry-level IT professional within the organization. In this capacity, the Project Specialist will undergo a 2 years Project Management Development Program (PMDP). As a program member you are supported with a suite of training and development activities to equip you with technical, business, project management and leadership skills, allowing you to become involved in high profile projects that are critical to our business success.
The Project Specialist is responsible for managing business-focused projects and is capable of proactively engaging and proposing solutions to the business as well as executing and delivering business benefits through projects under the mentorship of senior project managers within the PMO team. The Project Specialist will work in conjunction with IT PMO manager, senior project managers, country IT relationship managers, IT service delivery manager as well as regional functional leaders to drive the execution and delivery of projects.
Responsibilities

·Planning and implementation of IT projects
·Track & coordinate with various teams regarding project scope, budget, timel
ine and progress
·Identify and resolve project related issues
·Interact effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful completion of th
e projects
·Take ownership of professional/personal development during the course of the
Project Management Development Program
Qualifications
· Less than 2 years experience in the IT industry.
· BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IS Management, Engineering
or Business.
· Application development experience is preferred.
· Strong interest in Information Technology
· Solid analytical abilities and sharp business acumen
· Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills / multi-lingual language ski
lls preferred.
· Possess the drive and attitude to excel in the area of IT project managemen
t
· Willing to travel at least 50%, including international travel.
