Position:
S/W Eng II - DEV for ASE DEV SH
Posting Summary:
Looking for a Software Developer with strong C programming skills. The candida
te will help develop Sybase flagship database product ASE (Adaptive Server
Enterprise). Qualified candidat es will be working on the development of core
components(database access layer) of ASE product.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-Participate in all aspects of new feature design and development
-Maintain ASE and provide necessary technical support for customer cases
-Work with local and global engineers to finish task before deadline
Technical Requirements:
. Minimum 2 years of C development experiences is required, knowledge of C++ is a plus
. 2+ years formal working experience in IT industry
. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve technical problems
. Experience in system level software development and debugging is a plus
. Knowledge of Linux/Solaris operating system is a plus
. Experience in the field of RDBMS internals, distributed system or system management is a big plus.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline.
Non-technical Requirements:
. Good written and verbal skills, excellent communication skills, comfortable collaborating with other teams
. Self-motivated, highly productive, willing to take challenge and carry out tasks independently under pressure
