The Royal Danish Consulate General is looking for an intern with an understanding of the Chinese Furniture, Design & Retail sector. We can offer:

We prefer you to have the following qualifications:
Good command of written and spoken English;
Majors related with economics or marketing and communication would be a plus;
Good analytical and communication skills;
Good over viewing skills as well as ability to sense important details;
Structured approach to assignments.
Students from Fudan University and Shanghai International Studies University would be preferred.
You will shoulder the following responsibilities:
Data collection for commercial analyses in specific industrial sectors;
Public media search and distribution of weekly news summaries;
Quarterly commercial sector report (import, distribution, competitors, partnerships, new product launches etc.);
Information collection for planning of high level visits between Danish companies and Chinese authorities or companies;
Ad hoc assignments.
If you are highly proactive and confident, please apply NOW. Selected candidates will be interviewed in Mar./Apr. of 2012 and report for duty right after the interview. Please bear in mind that we need one intern every six months. We welcome your continuous interest in our program.
Time frame for the interns: 20-30 hours per week (4-5 days) from 9-5pm, at least 6 months for each intern (Note: Each intern can apply for extension after six months.)
