Qualifications


You must possess a Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Additional qualifications include:

- Familiarity with Linux scripting languages (shell, python) and/or C/C++ languages

- Good understanding of Computing architecture and Linux Internals

- Good understanding of Packet processing and TCP/IP network

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Flexible and eager to learn; work well with team members

- Proficiency in written and spoken English


Responsibilities


In this position, you will be joining the Intelligent Systems Group Software Team as an Intel Data Plane Development Kit Software Intern and working under the supervision of the Software (SW) Engineer. You will work on Intel-based platform consist of x86 processors + Intel Network Interface Card. You will help on the feature validation and performance benchmark by using the open source tool or specialized traffic generator (IXIA). You might work on the workload optimization as well.

Qualifications

- Familiarity with scripting languages and/or C/C++ languages
- Knowledge of software development and test processes
- Familiarity with embedded software design, development, optimization and validation
- Experiences in developing Linux* or Windows* based application
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and eager to learn; work well with team members
- Proficiency in written and spoken English

- The experience for Linux device driver and network protocol are nice to have.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be joining the Intelligent Systems Group Software Team as an Embedded Software Intern and working under the supervision of the Software (SW) Engineer. You will be responsible for supporting Intel embedded hardware platforms as well as enabling business on current platforms, be responsible for building software components, developing test scripts, performing testing and software development. You will be expected to participate in CMM Level 3 software development practices, including project planning and tracking, development and peer review of written software design specifications, peer review of developed code, test specification and preparation of code metrics.
