Job Description
As a Program Manager intern, you'll get to help drive the technical design and implementation of next-generation software solutions. You'll transform the product vision into elegant designs that will ultimately turn into products used by Microsoft customers. The PM intern helps manage feature sets throughout the product lifecycle, and you'll have the chance to see your design through to completion. You'll also work directly with other key team members including Software Development Engineers and Software Development Engineers in Test. Program Managers are advocates for end-users, so your passion for anticipating customer needs and creating outside-the-box solutions for them will really help you shine in this role.
This role need frequent communication across multiple teams, push stakeholders to provide contents.
Business need:
Both MS-LED and WEB-DIRECT GA are coming closer, we will have more and more contents(Trust Center, Support Plan, multiple Pricing pages) to be deployed on Marketing portal. More importantly, there will be more Marketing Promotion activities, customer interaction engagement, survey, etc. There are more communication efforts between WA.CN development team and Marketing team, locally in China. We need more quick and efficient communication between WA.CN engineering team and multiple Marketing team members.
This PM will attend all of your related meetings and collect all of requirements, contents and sync to WA.CN team. And also, this PM will sync back the status, detailed process for new features of WA.CN, connections between CCIC CAT, WA.CN, and Marketing members.
Qualifications
• Pursuing a BS/MS or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience programming in C++, Java or other computer programming languages is one plus but is not must to have.
• It’s a plus (not required) to be familiar with website development. It’s a plus to know one of PHP, ASP.NET, LAMP, IIS, and Apache.
• Familiarity with managing complex project schedules, solving complex problems, and nurturing cross-group collaboration with strong communication abilities. Proved project practice is one big plus.
• Passion to work as one program manager to provide end-2-end product with good quality.
• Chinese Mandarin and good English communication are required.
