IBM DemandTec is a strategic piece of IBM Smarter Commerce offerings with its established leader position in providing cloud-based price, promotion and assortment solutions for the retail and consumer packaged goods industries. DemandTec products and solutions extend IBM’s Smarter Commerce initiative by adding price, promotion and other merchandising and marketing analytics to help companies adjust strategies based on customer buying trends.

IBM CDL is hiring for OmniChannel Merchandising Optimization products development and testing. These products are being used by largest retails in the North America and key part of Smarter Commerce.

The job responsibilities of the developer intern include:
- Work with WW/local teams to develop OmniChannel Merchandising Optimization product-Part of Smarter Commerce.
- Work with WW/local teams to drive innovation during the full life cycle of development.
- Responsible for the design, coding, unit testing, defect fixing, etc.

Skill Requirement
- BS, prefer MS candidate in CS or equivalent
- Programming Languages: Java
- Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including Spring.  Hands-on experience with J2EE application.
- Expertise required in database and SQL, preferably DB2 experience in project development, Working knowledge of SQL in querying databases
- Experience in Linux and shell scripting.
- Familiar with Hibernate or other object-relational mapping framework is a plus.
- Familiar with popular JS framework (like jquery, Dojo, Mootools.) is a plus.
- Familiar with RESTful is a plus
- Fluent English speaking/writing

The internship will begin right away.  Candidate needs to guarantee at least 3 days per week available working time.
