Embedded Software Engineer Intern
Job Description
The intern job will work on design and development of Diagnostic software for proactive fault detection in Data Center switches involves good understanding of embedded C programming and working closely with device drivers and other modules.
Mandatory Skills
• Strong C programming skills
• Familiar with networking basics like switching, routing, protocols etc.
• Must speak fluent English, good English writing skill as well
• Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with remote cross-functional team in US and India
• Must be highly motivated and quick learner
Desired Skills
• Embedded RTOS knowledge
• Ability to complete lifecycle of software development including design, develop, and implement tests to ensure product quality and performance
Educational Background
• Typically requires BSEE/CS or MSEE/CS candidate

Linux Kernel/BIOS Intern Engineer
Qualification
Intern Job Requirements:
* Excellent knowledge in C and interest in BIOS development
* Knowledge of Linux kernel boot process (boot loader, boot setup, kernel module loading etc), or strong interest to learn the process
* Familiar with x86 Architecture and industrial standards, such as PCIE, I2C, SPI, etc.
* Knowledge in UEFI and EDKII is a plus
* Experience in low level driver development and debugging
* Good communication skills and team work
The intern will work with experienced Cisco BIOS engineers
* Develop BIOS for new feature support
* Modify and customize Linux kernel loading
* Porting BIOS for new platform
* Bug fixes and maintain current BIOS
* Enhance BIOS development tools and preform regression tests.
Educational Background
* Typically requires BSEE/CS or MSEE/CS candidate
