IBM Intern Position

IBM DemandTec is a strategic piece of IBM Smarter Commerce offerings with its established leader position in providing cloud-based price, promotion and assortment solutions for the retail and consumer packaged goods industries. DemandTec products and solutions extend IBM’s Smarter Commerce initiative by adding price, promotion and other merchandising and marketing analytics to help companies adjust strategies based on customer buying trends.

We are looking for an intern for DemandTec Promotion Execution product development. The qualified candidate will not only be able to gain valuable internship experience which is elaborately designed spanning 9 to 12 months, but also will definitely stand a better chance in campus hiring later.  

The job responsibilities of the developer intern include:
- Work with WW/local teams to develop DemandTec Promotion product.
- Work with WW/local teams to drive innovation during the full life cycle of development.
- Responsible for the design, coding, unit testing, defect fixing, etc.

Skill Requirement
- BS, prefer MS candidate in CS or equivalent
- Programming Languages: Java/C++
- Good experience in Web development
- Working knowledge of SQL in querying databases
- Black-box and white-box testing in enterprise application space, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Understanding and experience of functional, system, integration, regression, automation and performance testing of applications and application suites
- Out-of-the-box thinking in testing and the ability to think as the consumer of the application
- Basic knowledge in scripting technologies: Perl/Shell/Ruby/PowerShell would be a plus

The internship will begin right away.  Candidate needs to guarantee at least 3 days per week available working time.
