Engineer intern- Communications and Storage Infrastructure Group

Job Description: You will join Intel Communications and Storage Infrastructure Group (CSIG) Software development team as Software Intern at China. You will work on Intel-based platform consisting of x86 multi-core processors and network adapter and chipset technology. Currently the telecom industry is undergoing the transformation towards the network function virtualization and software defined networking, the similar is happening in the cloud data center. Your contribution will be part of this big industry development trend. You will help on the software feature development, validation, performance measurement and benchmark, system profiling and optimization whenever applicable.

The work is heavily involved in the open source such as Linux, DPDK, Open vSwitch, KVM, Packet Processing domain. You will work under the guidance of senior architect and engineer. This will provide a great opportunity to hit the cutting-edge technology and talents of the industry.

Basic requirements:
-        Good understanding of C programming skills, Linux.
-        Strong curiosity on the engineering details and devoted to technical problems.
-        Good commands on English reading, writing and speaking.
-        Computer science or equivalent background students with bachelor or master degree.
-        At least 6 months, 4 days+ per week

Added Advantage:
-        Linux/FreeBSD like system and Internals.
-        Computer architecture and internals.
-        Packet processing and TCP/IP network.
-        PCI-E device driver etc.
-        Python scripts & Linux shell script programming.
-        Virtualization technology
-        Good understanding of NFV & SDN
