Program Management Internship at Harvard Center Shanghai

Job Title: Program Management Intern
Duration: January to June, 2015  

Job Description:
Harvard Center Shanghai, opened in March 2010, represents an important step in Harvard's long engagement with China and Asia. Spearheaded by the Harvard Business School and the Harvard China Fund, the Center is built as a resource for Harvard faculty, students, and alumni across all of Harvard’s Schools. We are currently having one internship opportunity in Program Management opened for the right candidate. If you are a service and detail oriented person and have a strong desire to work in an academic environment, please come and join us.

Roles Responsibilities:
- Assists the Center Program Manager/Coordinator to coordinates all support services for all HCS events as they relate to housing/hotels, catering, facilities, security, interpretation, audio/video, IT, printer, transportation, photography, etc;
- Coordinates and supervises external vendors while facilitating services for all HCS events under the appropriate guidance of the Center Program Manager.

Qualifications:
- Relevant internship experience in a highly customer-service focused environment preferred;
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and team skills required;
- Self-motivated to solve problems on the spot; think creatively with attention to detail;
- Must be flexible and possess the ability to prioritize work, delegate and respond to change;
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment under pressure with frequent interruptions;
- Handle multiple tasks with precision; meet deadlines; work independently while always being mindful of the need to be a team player;
- Demonstrated professionalism in interactions with University faculty and staff, public officials, contractors and general public;
- Ability to exercise good judgment with diplomacy, as well as discretion with sensitive and confidential materials;
- Strong computer skills;
- Fluent English and Mandarin communications skills required.

Working schedule: three to four days per week according to program needs, overtime on weekends is also required based the Center program schedule

Location: 5/F, Shanghai IFC - HSBC Building,No. 8 Century Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai
