PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

P&I Customer Development & Strategic Projects China is part of a global organization in SAP to drive technology innovation via customer co-innovation.  By attracting top talents in many key technology areas, we are growing rapidly in China with two primary offices located at SAP Labs China, Shanghai Pudong Software Park and Beijing Zhongguancun Science & Technology Park.

Our team work on building new, beautiful, break through application or by renewing existing applications on SAP HANA to bring it to our customers (installed base customers and new customers) for their productive usage in a substantially faster pace, accompanying by creating significant revenue opportunity for SAP in its future growth. Not only are we closely engaging in global strategic collaboration, but also supporting SAP HANA core development, which is the next generation database and high performance computation platform

Currently the team focus on in-memory databases, high performance analytical computing, large scale simulation, distributed and parallel computing, big data process, algorithm design & development, and extreme applications as well as joint research projects with leading universities in China, including Tsinghua University and Fudan University.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As an UI Developer intern, you are expected to do the followings:

        Create user-friendly interface using HTML + CSS   +   JavaScript;
        Understand business requirements with the help of mentor;
Develop front-end interface with defined technical designs;

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
        Master/Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant information technology area
        Fluent in oral and written English

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
        Master JavaScript/CSS/HTML5
        Have a deep understanding of the Frontend Libraries/Frameworks, such as jQuery/d3/YUI/Backbone/Angular…
        Good at Web standards and building solutions using semantic markup
        Good at backend JavaScript Coffeejs / Node.js is a plus.
        Know a backend language such as java/c#... is a plus.
        Good communication skills
        Good team player
        One or more key professional competencies:
        UX design and UI development.
        Big data visualization.
Work Experience:
        This is an internship position which requires candidate available for 4 days/week for a relative long-term committed internship; Previous internship in UI development is preferred;
