Provost's Office --- Intern, External and Academic Events

Position Summary
Intern in this role will be assisting with various matters relating to the production of events and administrative support of External and Academic Events program.
在教务长办公室学术活动部门实习,你将与学校其他部门沟通合作,协助筹划、安排、宣传、支持各样学术活动,包括讲座、读书会、座谈会、艺术工作坊,得到亲临丰富多彩活动的机会,以及和学者、作家、艺术家的亲密接触。
需要较强的中英文沟通和多任务处理能力,灵活的时间,细致的态度。

Responsibilities
Events Assistance:
·     Liaising with other departments (Facilities, IT, Communication, etc.) to ensure smooth promotion and execution of events
·     Making travel and business meeting arrangements (including dinners) for guests
·     Translation of event blurbs from English to Chinese & composing teasers for events
·     Using Mailchimp, Xiumi and other software to input events info on websites, in emails and WeChat
·     Participation in weekly production meetings
·     Designing posters for academic and external events
Administrative assistance:
·     Printing, photocopying, faxing, etc.
·     Ordering and maintaining office supplies

Qualification
Required Education: Students enrolled in master’s program or above
Required Experience: Experience working in a cross-cultural environment preferred
                                   Experience organizing or supporting events preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
·     Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
·     Good interpersonal and communication skills
·     Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
·     Detail-orientated and good time management skills
·     Professional and positive; flexible and adaptable
·     Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop

Others
·     Able to commit at least 8 hours a day, 3 days per week
