Descriptions:
You are joining the Service Robot team in Intel Labs China. The team focuses on developing both hardware and software for service robot to interact with human with awareness of human knowledge and common sense. Robot with these capabilities would be able to be used in various industries, such as Elder Care, Education, Retail, etc. In this project you will be able to work in depth on how Artificial Intelligence should employ existing knowledge and common sense to decode implications that happen all too often in robot-human interactions. You will be working with a team of experts on cutting edge technologies, including but not limited to, deep learning technologies for object recognition, people identification, semantic environment understanding, personalized knowledge graph, etc.

Your work will touch upon following items:
1.Evaluating and developing different flavors of graph-based reasoning algorithms that enable robot self-correction based on both observations and human knowledge/common sense;
2.Performance evaluation of reasoning algorithms;
3.Testing and integration with other system modules;
4.Documentation and code management

Venue：Zizhu Shanghai, with virtual team at BJ

Time Span: 6+ months

Required Skills
1.Graduate students, preferrabely with solid math knowledge;
2.Understanding of graph computing, logic computing, probability theories including Bayesian networks, Markov Logic Networks;
3.System software experience with experience on software architecture, modularization and interface design;
4.Solid programing capabilities in Python and C/C++, Familiar with Linux system;
5.Understanding of knowledge graph background is a plus. This includes owl, graph structure, applications, knowledge extractions, challenges of constructing and employing knowledge graphs, etc.;
6.Non-SQL database, such as Neo4j, expertise is a plus.
7.fast learning capabilities in unknown areas. Teamworking spirit, easy to communicate, assuming responsibility.
