The Peking University Information Society Group is an informal
research group founded by Professor Benjamin Chiao
(http://benjaminchiao.org) in the Guanghua School of Management at
Peking University. We have been working on the economics of
information laws, systems and policies. Within one year of its
establishment, student-coauthored works have already been accepted
into international conferences and some of our inventions have been
filed for patent applications. An edited volume, published by the
Chinese Economic Publishing House, collects about 10 research papers
on the Great Firewall of China written by the members. We now need
junior and senior research assistants in top universities in China.
Paid research assistant positions (up to RMB1000 per month) are
offered only to a handful of selected students. Other students instead
receive attractive bonuses upon completion of a research project.
Previous members have been admitted to top PhD programs in the States.

We expect full time work at the Peking University during summer, and
part time work after that. We invite applicants from all disciplines
especially in economics, mathematics, computer science, information
technology, and law.

If you want to join the research team, please attach your CV and write
to benjamin.chiao@gmail.com. We will have a large pool of applicants.
You must write a good cover letter telling us especially your research
experience and future goals of academic study. Your previous
experience, though not required, in a related research project will be
a great plus. The recruitment is on a rolling basis. The first
application deadline is 11 June 2010. Please continue to send us your
CV by end August, 2010 if you see this advertisement late.

involved in. Most students will start to write a research paper on the
