Sourcing Specialist, Procurement, SM, Shanghai

Honeywell Asia Pacific Procurement mission is to effectively create competitive supply base solutions, achieve cost and spend reduction results, improve and leverage best practices, deliver as well as drive Procurement Transformation initiatives in the Asia Pacific region, working closely with Strategic Business Groups, Functional Teams and Global Category Strategies Teams.

About Procurement Rotation Opportunity (PRO)
Procurement Rotation Opportunity (PRO) is one of the early career development program that Honeywell intend to build with intensive orientation & rotation opportunity on Procurement focus, specialized in Supply Chain.

Description:

•        Assist procurement manager in production material negotiation and contract.
•        Assist in non production purchasing supplier selection and negotiation on needed basis.
•        Place POs to suppliers and resolve routine issues such as delayed payment, short shipment etc.
•        Uncover cost saving and localization opportunities by working with suppliers and other functions in Honeywell.
•        Ensure processes and policies being followed within the organization.
•        Assist in monitoring supplier performance and collect data for purchasing metrics for the plant.
•        Assist in implementation of new purchasing initiatives at the plant to improve efficiency, such as Outline Agreement, Catalog, Autofax etc


Qualifications:

• BS degree. Ability to communicate in English
• Education background in Engineering is preferred
• Good MS Office skill as well as ERP experience
• Strong communicational skill and is able to be an effective team-player.
• Good analytical capability, combined with a proven knowledge of chemical industry
• Good negotiation skills
• International logistics and trading experience

Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:
•        Raise PO for assigned entity and commodity
•        Uses OneSource, SAP, Oracle, to collect and analysis indirect material spending for the commodity to support
•        Assists commodity manager for sourcing activities
•        Contact suppliers, potential suppliers and bidders; organize physical and online meetings and events
•        Prepare basic monthly or other regular reports
•        Facilitate APAC Logistics council meeting and maintain regional contact lists
•        Maintain teamroom and data access by internal customers.
•        Organize supplier database, costing data base and files
•        Manage team contracts physically and in the system

Qualifications:
•        Education background in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Administration, Business Management, English or other related field
•        0-2 years of working experience
•        Responsive, proactive, hard working, be able to work under pressure
•        Quick learner, self-motivator, team player
•        Excellent oral and written communication skills
•        Strong English reading, writing, listening and speaking skill
•        Strong organizational and multi-task skill.
•        Strong computer skills with experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
