报告人简介：
    Jeanette Rotchell，女，英国赫尔大学水生态毒理学教授。1996年毕业于英国Glasgow Caledonian大学获博士学位。长期专注于水环境毒理学、遗传毒理学和内分泌干扰效应等方面的研究，并在该领域享有一定的知名度，发表了大量的专著和文章。曾连续主持SETAC欧洲年会分会和美国病理水生生物模型大会分会。担任Environmental Toxicology & Chemistry, Marine Pollution Bulletin, Fish Biochemistry & Physiology, Toxicology & Environmental Health, Marine Environmental Research, Chemosphere, Environmental Science & Technology, and Aquatic Toxicology等杂志的审稿人，并受邀担任美国新西兰基金会、新西兰国家研究基金会、英国NERC研究基金会等评审。
报告简介：   Ecotoxicologists aim to detect pollution-induced biological effects damage in an organism as early as possible so that remedial action can be taken. They also aim to provide definitive cause-and-effect relationships between specific classes of contaminants and the biological effects damage that they may cause. This presentation will introduce several such examples with a focus on hydrocarbons, heavy metals, organiza radiation, and endocrine disrupting chemicals and detection of their biological impacts, at the molecular level of organization, in coastal fish and invertebrate species. The relevance of these early molecular level changes to future individual and population level repercussions will be discussed.
