Job Title: Trainee of Systems Engineer/Technical Partner Advisor
Job Summary:
As an enrty-level Systems Engineer in NetApp’s Field Operations function, you are responsible for providing pre-sales support for selling NetApp’s Products, Solutions and Professional Services to existing and potential customers, under necessary mentorship and coaching by experience NetApp professionals.
You will develop and utilize your technical and relationship building skills in working with data protection and data management solution vendors, partners and sales representatives to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to customers.
In this entry-level professional position, your overall focus areas will be in supporting and developing processes and systems for quick and thorough responses to customer RFP’s, provide systems configuration recommendations, and apply your background and experience to deliver solutions to technical problems. You will build your technical and customer services skills by working directly with customers and gaining knowledge from more senior NetApp professionals within and beyond Field Operations function. You will also be required to learn from existing best practices and customer references to improve and mature your pre-sales skills.
Essential Functions:
The essential responsibilities of the Systems Engineers are to work directly with the NetApp sales team to support customers in pre-sales and, sometimes, post sales situations, and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service & Development areas.
Requirements:
• Critical and Logical thinking
• Good written and verbal communication skills, in Mandarin and English.
• Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to meet performance goals.
• Account management and project management experience.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer facing environment.
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
• Creative approach to problem solving.
• Comfortable with intensive travels to the prospective customer’s sites as necessary.
Education & Experience:
• 0 to 2 years of experience is required. (To be confirmed by TSO and HR management)
• A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Computer Science; or equivalent is required
• CET-6 and equivalent English language skill, both in written and verbally
• Good understanding of IT industry and technical trends
• Experience which demonstrates an ability to understand and communicate technical solutions selling concepts is beneficial.
