Responsibilities:
• Building up the competence in visual perception, experimental psychology design
• Designing new experiment for visual perception study and conducting visual perception experiment for different lighting applications.
• Consulting and solving the technical challenges in visual perception experiment design and statistical analysis
• Interpreting experimental results by applying theoretical models & mathematical models, and find the relationship between environment and human behavior, deliver the findings to guide the solution design.
Major Challenges:
• Understand customer insights and manage uncertainties;
• Identify and discover the major technical problems along the industrial trend
• Broad understanding of norms and knowledge of various lighting applications.
Generate innovative ideas and develop technical solutions to fulfill the unmet needs.
Requirements:
• Education: PhD degree on perception, experimental psychology, ergonomics / human factors, or related field of study;
• Research experience: practical experience in visual perception study. Knowledge on lighting, optics and electronics will be a strong plus.
• Competency and Skills: Self-motivated, pro-active behavior, result oriented and quality driven; Strong problem solving skill; Good communication and presentation skills; good spoken and written English (CET level 6 or higher) and Chinese (Mandarin); quick learning ability; strong team spirit.
