Communications & Publications Department
The Communications & Publications Department of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai is recruiting an editorial intern for the Fall 2008 period.
The ideal candidate for this challenging and exciting internship has a strong command of the written word (journalism or research experience preferred) and an interest in current affairs and China business issues as they relate to American business. Understanding of U.S.-China relations and policy issues are also a plus. The candidate must commit to working a minimum of three months. Native-English speakers only and basic Chinese skills are a plus.
The Communications & Publications Department oversees AmCham Shanghai’s monthly business magazine Insight, a suite of other corporate publications, media relations and the AmCham Shanghai website. With regards to the magazine, the editorial intern will need to generate story ideas and follow-up leads, contribute to editorial planning, research and write content, and assist with proofreading and copyediting. Other duties will include events coverage, project work with publications such as the 2008 China Business Report, and some media relations tasks.
