In this position, as a (senior) performance engineer, you will be working with a group of talented people on system analysis and software optimizations for browser and web runtimes on Android with different form factors (phone, tablet and more). In your daily job, you are required to deeply understand the representative usage models of cutting-edge web technologies, build stable and repeatable workloads & tools and conduct systematic quantitative analysis over them, identify the performance / power / memory consumption bottleneck and figure out the root cause together with your colleagues. In addition to that, you are also expected to exercise system analysis driven by the data to identify system/platform level issues. Qualification:
l You must either possess a Bachelor/Master/Ph. D degree in Computer Science, or proven record of your knowledge/experience in Computing Science
l Deep understanding of Linux software stack and strong skills of C/C++ are required. Experience of Android stack is a plus.
l Familiar with debugging and profiling tools in Linux, and have solid skills in software debugging. Experience of performance tuning and optimization is a super plus.
l Familiar with computer architecture. Experience of compiler related development is a super plus.
l Experience in web engine or components like Chromium, WebKit and V8 etc. is a super plus. Experience in HTML5/JavaScript web programming is a plus as well.
l Experience in android graphics or media processing is a super plus. Experience in performance analysis is a plus as well.
l Strong data processing and analytical skills, and have good perception and anticipation.
l A trustable team player, with excellent communication skills (in both English and Mandarin) and demonstrated ability to communicate at various levels of abstraction (concept to details) |
