PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP is the global market leader for business software and thus contributes a considerable part of the world's economic power grid. At SAP you get the chance to put your ideas into action with maximum impact. The Global Technology Legal Compliance (GTLC) team in Products & Innovation (P&I) department is responsible for SAP’s 3rd party intellectual property intake such as Open Source Software. The team audits SAP’s product source code for the occurrence of any 3rd party components (commercial and Open Source) and provides guidance to product development teams whether the identified components can be used in SAP’s products. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team to assist with the tools (used for legal compliance such as Black Duck Protex and Code Center) support and processes improvement.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This is a hands-on position with exciting global exposure to an array of topics like Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), license compliance, security, software release cycles, and production processes. We expect you to be diligent yet curious to learn. You should be able to take initiative, and have experience working well in a global team environment.
•        Inter-communicate with many different product groups to get and confirm information
•        Organize the data and ensure data quality (correctness, integrity and consistency)
•        Perform data feeding, data cleansing and data maintaining tasks
•        Learn existing processes/documentations and generate educated ideas for improvements
•        Provide support of tools to both internal and external users
•        Assist in other duties consistent with the team’s initiatives

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
•        Currently enrolled in a undergraduate or master degree program
•        Good understanding of high-level programming languages such as C++ and Java, familiarity with mobile development a plus
•        Knowledge of software development methodologies and software lifecycle
•        Highly self-directing, self-disciplined and self-motivated individual with positive work attitude striving for excellence
•        Fluent in English, with good verbal and written communication skills suitable for a global work environment
•        Excellent adaptability to new tools, ability to absorb fast to master the new tool and be able to guide others concisely, past experience in technical support a big asset
•        Adept at critical thinking and logic reasoning for problem solving
