Associate Software Engineer
Job Duties:
1 Study existing systems
2 Analyse requirements
3 Produce detailed specifications of new and revised system components
4 Develop programs according to specifications, in accordance with Group and Quality Standards
5 Participate in System Testing
6 Participate in the selection, installation and customisation of software packages
Academic Qualifications:
1 A Bachelor’s degree or above
2 Must be a graduate in Computer Science, IT engineering, Mathematics / Computation or a related discipline
3 Possess a good command of written and spoken English
Candidate Requirements:
1 An acceptable standard of communication in English
2 Sound problem solving capability (analytical and logical reasoning skills)
3 Acceptable technical knowledge in system development
4 Proven ability in project planning and control
5 Good interpersonal skill and emotional stability (teamwork skills)
6 Must be self-motivated with a strong commitment to a career in Information Technology
Management Trainee
Management Trainee Program TIMING
Job Placement 18-21 months
1 CMB (Commercial Banking)
2 GBM (Global Banking and Markets)
3 RBWM (Retail Banking and Wealth Management )

Performance Management
Performance assessments from line management every six months, complemented by feedback sessions with an executive mentor and Human Resources coaches.
Mentoring and Support
Participants will be assigned an executive mentor to provide coaching and guidance throughout the programme, augmented by a line mentor in each attachment to facilitate technical learning.
Networking and Events
Regular networking events over the course of the programme with local and regional senior management.
Future Ongoing
Over the course of the 24 months immediately following your completion of the programme, you will take on posts within the area of Technology and Services in which you took your Job Placement, paving the way to a long-term specialised career with HSBC.
Job Duties:
7 Actively participate and successfully complete departmental assignments / job rotation, departmental / functional / center-wide projects, mentorship etc.
8 Display high level capability on driving change and innovation, driving execution and performance, inspiring and developing others.
9 Maintain quality customer service by establishing good relationship with internal colleagues and external business partners, giving accurate and timely feedback of their requests and enquiries
10 Take initiative to review and streamline workflow to optimize efficiency and recommend ways to enhance customer service
Candidate Requirements:
11 Bachelor Degree or above
12 Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or related majors
13 Minor in Finance, Economic, International Trade or related financial/ economical-related majors is beneficial
14 Fluent in both writing and speaking in English and Mandarin
15 Strong communication skill and negotiation skill
16 Passionate in Software Engineering Project of Banking Systems
