Primary Job Responsibilities
In this exciting and challenging opportunity, the successful candidate will join eBay’s Global Engineering Systems and Environments (GESE) team as senior software engineer of Release Engineering team. He/she will work with top notch developers, architects, operations, and support staff to make a significant impact on productivity of thousands of users.
- As a senior member of software engineering team, your duties include keeping Engineering Environment parity, making continuous delivery, developing and executing RE tools.
- Drive product direction by soliciting feedback from developers, operations, QE and other teams.
- Prototype solutions as required.
- Create tools with intuitive and simple user interface that's complemented by a robust, highly scalable, adaptable back end system.
- Be the advocator of our user base with laser focus on achieving business results.

Job Requirements
- Good knowledge on object-oriented design methodology and enterprise application development in Java
- Familiar with J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, Web Service and popular DB systems (like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience on Git, Jenkins, Maven or other similar tools
- Excellent communication and relationship skills. Ability to understand and articulate both technical and business issues with peers, management, and external teams.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor or above degree majored in computer science or related areas.
- Knowledge of agile development and process concepts, practices, and procedures
- proficient in English communication and experienced in working with oversea partners.
- Accountable, learn fast, highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent communicator, work independently, and handle multiple simultaneous tasks based on priority.

Shift Details
7 days/wk, 12hr shifts Shanghai daytime
