Software Engineer – Shanghai - Master

Responsibilities:
• Participate in a project and team up with engineers involved in design, documentation and implementation of software features for Cisco IP telephony products.
• Trouble-shoot issues found internally/externally and resolve defects.
• Provide necessary technical support to other teams for any UI/Java, SIP, Media Processing and Infra issues.
• Build and deliver phone firmware loads to test teams.
• Continuous improvement on phone performance and quality .

Requirements:
• Excellent programming skill in C/C++/Java
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good English in written and oral communication skills in order to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Broad knowledge of VoIP protocols (like SIP), Voice, Video as well as embedded and real-time operating systems are essential for success in this role.
• Good knowledge in TCP/IP and other network routing/switch protocols.
• Good knowledge in Linux/Unix (Solaris).
• Good knowledge in script languages, such as JavaScript/HTML/XML.
• Strong knowledge in computer architecture and data structure.
• Strong knowledge in OS and kernel scheduling, memory mgmt., CPU scheduling/utilization, process and thread synchronization, and garbage collection.
• Strong knowledge in Object-Oriented design.
• Good communication skills and team-work spirit.
• Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply to work tasks.
• Knowledge/experience with any of the following is a big plus:
• CCIE, CCNA, CCNP, or other Cisco certifications, or Cisco switch/router configuration experience.
• VoIP related experience or knowledge.
• Video related experience or knowledge.
• Knowledge of USB, Bluetooth and WiFi.
• JVM internals.
• User Interface Design and Modeling.
Educational Background：
Master degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Automation Control
